This research report presents shipment volume and value
forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese tablet industry. The report
includes shipment volume and value, ASP, and product mix analysis. The content
of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with
notebook PC makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese tablet industry's
shipment volume declined significantly in the first quarter of 2014, mainly due
to Apple's seasonality. The industry's shipment volume of the industry is
expected to have continued decline albeit at a slower rate. With more high-end
tablets expected to invade the ultrabook market, it is anticipated that the
industry will see an increase of tablet shipments again in the third quarter of
2014 and continue well into the next quarter.
