The report finds Taiwan's server system and
barebones shipment volume and value grew significantly in the fourth quarter of
2017, owing mainly to the pull-in demand towards year-end. The industry's
first-quarter shipment volume however is estimated to be relatively
conservative as the replacement demand, to be triggered by Intel's Purely CPU,
have yet to live up to expectations. Throughout 2018, the industry is likely to
be continuously benefited by the popularity of internet services that will
further bolster the demand for cloud computing and correspondingly services.
